The Best (and ONLY) Baby Registry You’ll Ever Need

Registering for baby items can be OVERWHELMING, to say the least. Where do you register? Do you need more than one registry? What items do you REALLY need?

Fear not! As a first time mom, I dove head-first into my registry research before I settled on one that I found to be the best choice, for MULTIPLE reasons.

I may be biased, considering that I already have an online shopping love affair with this company and literally buy EVERYTHING from there, but there is good reason why. It only made sense to make my baby registry on the most convenient online shopping platform available. If you haven’t guessed already (which I’m SURE you have) I’m talking about the one and only AMAZON

When I got married, I didn’t even consider Amazon as one of our registry options (and now I’m kicking myself because registering with them for my baby registry was AMAZING from start to finish). After exploring some other options (including Buy Buy Baby, Babylist, and Target) I kept coming back to my true shopping love. Here is why Amazon is the BEST and ONLY baby registry you will need.

Easy to Add Items

When I first went to make my registry, I had no CLUE where to start. What I love about Amazon is that they provide you with a checklist to use when you’re adding things to your registry. You simply visit the checklist and click on the category you want to view, then browse the items and click the “add to registry” button when you find one you like! Easy peasy!

See Reviews

5 Stars - Best Quality/Service

I shop based on reviews. The benefit to an online registry over a store registry is that you can see reviews of each product before adding it. Because there are so many shoppers on Amazon, there are tons of reviews to read before adding a product to your registry. This is how I added the majority of my items to my registry!

Many People Have an Amazon Account

Amazon is the biggest online shopping website in the United States. If you have shopped online, you most likely have shopped through Amazon.com before. Many people also have an Amazon Prime account, which is a paid membership option that offers extra perks (like free 2 day shipping-a favorite of mine!).

Not a prime member? You can try Prime FREE for 30 days by clicking here. Trust me, it won’t take you the full 30 days to fall in love with it!

Because most people have Amazon accounts already, this makes it extremely easy for them to find your registry and purchase a gift for you!

But what if you have one of those relatives that still refuses to jump on the online shopping wagon? Never fear! They can view your registry, purchase a gift at a brick and mortar store, then go on your registry and click a button that indicates the gift was purchased elsewhere, so a duplicate is not bought!

Easy Returns

Most likely, you will want to return at least SOMETHING you put on your registry at one point. Maybe you added the wrong size breast pump bra (ahem…me), or got a duplicate of an item.

Amazon’s returns are SUPER easy to complete. Simply go on your registry, click the item you want to return, print a label at home (or indicate that you will print one at the UPS store) and choose which method you want to use to return! It’s SUPER simple and quick, not to mention they credit your account as soon as it registers that you dropped the item off for return.

Free Welcome Box

One neat little perk of registering with Amazon is that they send you a free welcome box of baby goodies, samples, and coupons! I loved getting this little freebie box when I first registered. Some things included were a sample pack of diapers, wipes, a receiving blanket and a bottle along with some samples and lots of coupons (items included may vary).

Completion Discount

You may not receive every single item you put on your registry, BUT Amazon makes it possible for you to pick up those last few items on your registry by offering a 10% discount on the rest of your items you wish to purchase. What is even BETTER is that you are allowed to use this perk TWO times up to 60 days before your baby is born! Already a Prime Member? Enjoy 15% off instead of 10%. My husband and I saved around $300 with this perk alone!

Diaper Fund Option

Expensive childcare. A pile of diapers and money on background.

Babies will go through 2,500-3,000 diapers in their first YEAR. That’s A LOT of diapers and a lot of MONEY. Amazon offers the option to add a Diaper Fund to your registry, which allows friends and family to contribute towards the cost of diapers. You are notified every time someone makes a contribution and funds are delivered to you through an Amazon gift card. Another awesome bonus feature!

Universal Registry

Any time I need something, Amazon is ALWAYS the first place I check for availability and price. While they usually carry MOST things I’m looking for, sometimes they don’t have something I want. Amazon also serves as a universal registry. See something adorable from another website that is not offered on Amazon? Simply add it to your Amazon registry and it will take the purchaser to the website where the item is located. You can easily keep all of your items in one place.

Price

I’ve done a little research and I’ve found that Amazon is usually the cheapest price for most of my baby items (especially when you factor in the free shipping option). If it’s not, your guests can simply purchase the requested item elsewhere and mark that it was “already purchased” on your registry.

So if you didn’t pick up on it after reading this post, I have a SLIGHT (and by slight, I mean HUGE) obsession with Amazon. I found it to be the most convenient, easiest, cheapest and least stressful option out of all of the registries I explored! You can sign up for your FREE baby registry by clicking this link and if you’re not a Prime member, do yourself a favor and click here for your 30 day free trial! You won’t be sorry!
